I want to be more. I want to be a better person, I want to do bigger and better things and make a difference in the world. I just don't know how.

And I'm scared to try.

HOVER

GUYS

I met Jim Povolo’s mom tonight.

She came into my work and I saw her name and I was like, “Oh, are you related to Jim?”

“Yeah, that’s my son.”

“I’m a huge StarKid fan!”

And she started laughing because I’m assuming that doesn’t happen to her often and she told me she was going down to their show tomorrow and I told her that I actually met him in Chicago when I saw Starship and I got super awkward because I was just thinking, ‘damn it Laura why are you talking she probably thinks you’re weird and now she’s either gonna forget me or tell her son about this weird girl at the store who was supposed to be cashing her out but was really just being weird and awkward.’

But she was super nice and she said the people in the starkids were, “a really nice bunch of kids” which I thought was adorable.

And she kind of kept giggling every couple of minutes because I’m sure that a fan of her son’s ever recognizes her or whatever haha.

And I said something about how I knew he lived around here and then I realized that sounded creepy but I said that my mom knew some “Povolo’s” and she asked my mom’s name and she said that my aunt is one of her really good friends. This is totally my in, haha.

The tennis racket she bought was for him too. I sold it to her. Bam. I’m awesome.

Haha

Oh lord.

This has been an episode of Laura’s Awkward Moments. Thank you for reading.

I totally just wanted to give her my number and tell her to give it to her son, haha
